Pearl River Community College offers free Adult Education classes for anyone 17 years or older who is not enrolled in high school. Day and night classes are available in most areas.

Adult Basic Education, a tuition-free program, offers adults the opportunity to prepare for a high school equivalency exam (GED, TASC, or HiSet), college entrance, career-technical education, or career readiness skills. The ABE Program offers class instruction in small groups, tutorial services, and computer-based learning.
Criteria to enter the program:

  • Must be 17 years old and not currently enrolled in school
    (17-year-olds need a withdrawal form from the last school attended)
  • Complete at least 12 hours of class per week
  • No more than 4 absences in the semester term

WHEN CAN I ENROLL?

Enrollment for Adult Education/HSE prep classes is held through a registration process at our center prior to every 5-week class session. Call today to reserve your spot.

* Students must attend all three days of Orientation and stay the entire 3 hours for class enrollment.
