Maintenance Technician
Location:  Poplarville
Overview/Responsibilities:  

  • Employee must possess the skill/knowledge to maintain college facilities from cleanliness of the buildings/grounds to repairing/replacing building components.
  • Person must be competent in all areas of buildings including, but not limited to: electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and mechanical equipment required for buildings to operate at an acceptable level.
  • Person may be required to assist in other areas as directed by Supervisor.
  • Competent in computer skills and other technology required to accomplish duties in these areas.
  • Overtime may be required at certain times to complete projects including weekends and holidays.

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

Customer Service Agent
Location: Poplarville Campus
Job Description/Overview:

  • Answers telephones, chat, and in-person inquiries
  • Facilitates Covid related questions regarding Covid protocols and procedures
  • Helps create a friendly environment for those served, removing roadblocks due to Covid
  • Assist students in Covid related grant application process
  • Navigate trouble with accounts, payment plan options, and alternative financial support in challenging times due to Covid

Resource and Referral Associate
Location:  Poplarville
Overview:  The R&R Associate will act as the first point of contact at the Poplarville Resource and Referral Center.  Qualified candidates will be organized, friendly, proficient in the use of computer programs (such as Microsoft Word, Excel, email, and Publisher or Canva), and must possess the skills needed to plan and facilitate high-quality educational activities like story time, hands-on activities, and special events for children and families in the community.  Duties include tasks such as answering phones, monitoring center supply needs, maintaining a clean and organized lending library and resource room, planning and facilitating family and community engagement activities, assisting patrons with center needs, checking in/out lending library materials, providing confidential referrals to Community Services, assisting in the collection of data, actively collecting and maintaining a patron mailing list, creating the center calendar, and other duties as assigned.

Youth Spark Participant Coordinator

Job Description/Overview: This position requires individuals to have a desire to teach students to become registered dental hygienists. The position includes an understanding of the inner functions of a dental hygiene program as they relate to admissions, curricula, practice arenas, evaluations, and outcomes. The individual must have a thorough understanding of the use of technology as a supplemental instructional tool, express an aspiration toward life-long learning, and have the ability to work as a member of a departmental team. The position requires the instruction of classroom and clinical content, the possession of effective leadership skills, and the ability to communicate effectively.

Surgical Technology Instructor --- (ADJUNCT)
Location:  Forrest County Campus 
Job Description/Overview:  The Surgical Technology Program is seeking hire 2 full time instructors and 1 Adjunct.   Full time instructors will work a minimum of 30 hours per week. Adjunct hours will vary per semester. Responsibilities may include didactic and laboratory instruction in addition to clinical supervision, instruction and direction and guidance of clinical preceptors.
